Duration and course outline. This course is a higher-level certificate which takes 36 weeks to complete as a full-time program. This includes scheduled classes three days a week at our campus in Adelaide as well as up to 12 hours of self paced study per week. In addition, there is a compulsory 4 weeks (min of 120 hours) of industry based holistic work placement. The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support consists of fifteen compulsory subjects and three elective subjects. You will complete written and practical assessments to progress through the course.

During the theory classes which are delivered in our modern and comfortable classrooms, the subjects you undertake will teach you how to support independence and wellbeing, how to facilitate the interests and rights and the empowerment of older people. You will also learn about working with diverse people, how to support relationships with carers and families as well as providing support to people living with dementia.
