Assessment Resubmission Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that Quality College of Australia provides a clear and consistent process for the submission and resubmission of theory assessments by students to their QCA trainers/assessors.

Course Progress Policy

Deferral, Suspension and Cancellation Policy
The purpose of this policy is to outline the circumstances in which a student can defer, suspend or cancel their enrolment with Quality College of Australia (QCA) and where QCA can initiate the suspension or cancellation of the student’s enrolment.
Education Agent Policy
This policy applies to all appointed Education Agents of QCA and QCA staff who are involved in the approval and monitoring of QCA’s Education agents.

National Recognition Policy
This policy describes the process by which QCA will consider and accept AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by Registered Training Organisations throughout Australia. The policy describes the process by which QCA will consider and accept application for course credit.

This policy describes the practices and procedures by which Quality College of Australia (QCA) will ensure the compliance with the relevant privacy legislation to protect the personal information and right to privacy of those which are detailed within this policy.
Recognition of Prior Learning Policy
This policy is to ensure that an individual’s prior learning achieved through formal and informal training, work experience or other life experiences is appropriately recognised.
Refund Policy and Cancellation Fee Policy
This purpose of this policy and procedure is to explain the conditions under which Quality College of Australia (QCA) may apply a refund to international students in compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and the requirements of Standard 3 of the National Code. This policy does not remove the right to take further action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.
Selection and Recruitment of International

To clearly outline Quality College of Australia’s (QCA) selection criteria when assessing applications from prospective international students, communicating selection criteria to Education Agents, or when dealing with queries from prospective students.

External Support Services

Smart & Skilled Programs
Smart and Skills is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It’s helping people get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers.
Smart and Skilled provide eligible students with:
- an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III
- government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas

Traineeship / apprenticeship fees and Entitlement and Targeted Priority fees are calculated assuming no RPL or Credit Transfer has been requested. Lower pricing may apply if an RPL or Credit Transfer claim is requested. Fee for service prices are available upon request. Certificate II and III level Entitlement qualifications are available to concessions at a subsidised maximum charge of $160/$240

How do I enrol?
You can now apply to QCA with enrolment forms including a consent/declaration form to enter your personal details int he Smart and Skilled portal. Don’t hesitate to contact your QCA Consultant for assistance!
You will need to provide a copy of your passport or photo ID and medicare card to enrol, and any relevant visa or concession cards, if applicable.

Do you have a USI (Unique Student Identifier)?
I’ve enrolled, now what happens?
The details you are provided during the enrolment process will be entered into the Smart and Skilled Calculator. On successful completion, you will be allocated a Commitment ID. Your student contribution fee will be determined by the information you have provided. A Notification of Enrolment will then be created.
Your Notification of Enrolment will be sent to the email address that you have provided*. This email will include:
- A Smart and Skilled Commitment ID and quote for your student contribution fee AND
- An invoice from QCA.
* This process may take up to three weeks.
Your QCA Trainer will then contact you OR your employer OR your job active to arrange your first training session. At this session, you will be given your resources and your trainer will explain what is required from you.

Work Ready Programs
South Australian Government funding may be available to eligible students looking to undertake certain programs of study.
You may be eligible for a government-subsidised training place if you either live or work in South Australia, and are:
- an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or
- a permanent Australian resident, or
- the holder of an eligible visa
You also need to be one of the following:
- aged 16 years or over and not enrolled at school, or
- aged 16 years or over, enrolled in school and undertaking training through the Training Guarantee for SACE Students (TGSS), or
- undertaking training through a training contract as an apprentice or trainee in identified courses.

Work Placement Overview
Voluntary Work Placement
Voluntary Work Placement is a placement that you may optionally take part in with an aim to give you more employment skills in a real-life setting.
This placement can either be set up by Quality College of Australia or can be an arrangement by the student, employment services provider or partnering organisation.
Quality College of Australia will cover insurance for students who have an approved work placement agreement between an employer, the student and Quality College of Australia.
For a work placement agreement to be valid the signed agreement must be signed by all parties prior to commencing the work placement activity and be returned to Quality College of Australia.
Generally, a Voluntary Work Placement will be between 1 – 2 weeks in duration within reasonable work hours. Conditions such has split shifts, venues and weekend work must be specified and agreed to prior to placement commencement.
Compulsory Work Placement
Compulsory Work Placement is a placement which you must undertake in order to successfully complete the course you are undertaking.
This placement can either be set up by Quality College of Australia or can be an arrangement by the student, employment services provider or partnering organisation.
For a work placement agreement to be valid the signed agreement must be signed by all parties prior to commencing the work placement activity and be returned to Quality College of Australia.
Compulsory Work Placement can be anything from 1 – 2 weeks up to 48 service periods depending on the type of placement. This will be communicated clearly prior to the placement commencing. Conditions such has split shifts, venues and weekend work must be specified and agreed to prior to placement commencement.
Industry Placement
This is a compulsory work placement that is only applicable to International Students to be completed during their study. This placement is conducted over a period of 6 months based at a hospitality industry employer. During this period, they must demonstrate 12 service periods where they are the supervisor in the workplace.
This is conducted as part of the unit SITHKOP005 – Coordinate cooking operations.
Holistic Placement
This is a type of compulsory work placement that needs to be completed to complete an accredited unit within a training package. This placement requires a participant to complete a minimum number of service periods in a real-life or simulated environment to demonstrate their overall competence.
